Give it a Whirl
Well, since some of my friends have gotten blogs and people keep asking me if I have a blog, I guess I might as well start one. Just don't expect me to keep up with it obsessively. Alright, so how about a little backlog of the most interesting thing to happen to me in a little while:
I just got back from NASA on Friday, I was there since the Sunday previous. It was with a program called Texas High School Aerospace Scholars. It's open to people between their Junior and Senior years; I highly recommend it to anyone who's interested in aerospace or space exploration. They divided us into teams, and each team was responsible for a different aspect of a manned Mars mission. There was also a competitive design mission, where each team was on its own. The teams received $329 million to use on supplies (imaginary money of course) and after the design and construction of a rocket, a lander, a rover, and launching the parts of the rocket into orbit (which amounted to taping the pieces to a balloon and sending it up one story) whoever had the most money won. Guess what? WE WON! We somehow managed to come out with $449 million. Anyways, it was great.
Oh, almost forgot. RAMROD!
:: I'll explain later. ::
Btw, some friends and I have a forum at A Web Forum, so check it out. We're also starting up a Star Wars-based RPG there. Later, y'all!

No problem, just let me know if you ever want me to call you b/c ur too busy to call me ;p. And might I say, ur up late? Although this is nearly an hour later, so I can't really say nething about it...
It will not scare him! I just enjoy documenting my every impulsive thought
and thank you for the referral
what does qantrvon mean?
it can become addicting, though.
ok, i did some research, and I still don't know what the name is, but you're probably a member of some stargate message community thingy.
Actually, I made it up. It really means absolutely nothing. And btw, if it was Stargate related, you'd probably be able to find it in mythology, that's where they get all their names for stuff from.
Ok, I'll explain it. I have an interest in quantum mechanics, so I took the quant, but that didn't sound that good, so I took out the 'u.' Then, I added in my first name, Travis, so it's now qantrav, but it needs to end well, so I added the 'on' just to make it sound better.
cool--if it was a mythological reference, I probably would've caught it. I own and have read 20+ books on mythology of all types
all my usernames are goldfinger because I like the movie (the band is awful)
Andrew, you don't get to count each separate copy of Edith Hamilton Mythology you own as a different book.
And obviously commenting can get addicting as well.
Apparently so.
