Interesting games

Here's a few games that I think everyone should at least check out:

Cloud: This is a very free-form game. I actually found out about it a couple years ago. You're a kid who has the power to fly, and control clouds. The game is more or less a dream. It's surprisingly fun and relaxing.

Dwarf Fortress: A very simple-looking game, but one of the most detailed, in-depth games you will ever play. The art consists entirely of ASCII characters, but the simplicity ends there. It's essentially an RTS, where you're in charge of a colony of Dwarves. You begin by having the computer create a randomly generated world. It will create random maps until it finds one that meets certain criteria. Then, it will simulate natural processes like erosion, as well as the rise and fall of empires over the course of more than 1,000 years. Then, once you actually begin playing, the game keeps track of an insane number of statistics for your dwarves. Not just their overall health, but the status of their limbs and organs, their emotional state, etc. All of this has an effect, as well. For instance, if the dwarves are sad, they will be less efficient in mining. They may even commit suicide if they become depressed enough. They bury their dead. Like I said, insane.

Passage: This game is extremely unique. It is essentially a game about life. If I say much more, it might ruin the experience, so I will end there. I highly suggest you check it out.

That is all.

Live long and prosper.
