The Lurking Evil

It destroys lives, causes illness, and devours time itself. What is it, you may ask? What else can it be other than the dreaded research paper? It is a plague, an almighty curse upon the innocent. A curse so vile and despicable that even mention of it is vulgar. But one detail remains to solidify its rule as chief among the evils of this world; its name has yet to be recognized for what it is, a vulgar word...a curse word. Aid me in naming the greatest of the wrongs done to humanity, give its name a place as the most despicable, most unforgiveable swear known to man. Please, "spread the word."

Hurricane Rita

Well, if everything goes as the weathermen are predicting, Hurricane Rita is going to run right over us. I can only hope that it doesn't do as much damage as Katrina did. This thing really sucks. Anyways, I will be out of town until it is safe to return, so I wish you all safe travels, good luck, and godspeed throughout this event.

That could have been worse...

Well, this morning I tried out for Region Jazz, for the first and last time. I've never done it before because of a lack of time to practice, due to marching. Oh, well. I didn't do too bad, 8 of 13. Although, I thought my improv was the best ;).

The marching show is almost finished. We should be marching the whole thing by Friday. I GOT THE SOLO!! WAHOO!!!! (ahem...cough, cough) I'm just a little bit excited about that still, can't you tell?

And in other news, I have a girlfriend. Her name is Soneen and she is the most awesome girl I know. One of the best things is she's a gamer! Yay! She likes swords too! Yay! A girl I can talk to about my hobbies! There's also a lot more that's cool about her, but it's WAY too much to mention here, I don't feel like writing a book :P. You're awesome, Soneen!

Football Season Begins!!!

Well, we had our first football game last night. We lost 32-22, i think. I don't go for the football. I go because I'm in the band, and our motto when it comes to football is "It's not whether you win or lose, it's how the band plays." Never a more fitting saying. My car is almost ready! YAY!! We just need to figure out how to get the horn working and replace one of the taillight assemblies, then it will be ready to pass inspection, and I will be able to drive it. Well, I gotta go make fruit salad. May the Force be with you all.
